Our Performance Suit is designed for employees in reception, gastronomy, and various other environments where dressing formal is crucial but while ensuring the clothes are suitable for professional laundering.   Behind the collection are years of product development and a quest for the perfect quality that our laundry customers can incorporate into their regular washing processes. The fabric for this collection is a blend of REPREVE® recycled polyester, part of Our Choice Materials, and Creora Power Fit. The fabric, with its 4-way stretch, provides full mobility for the wearer. It withstands high heat and maintains its shape, making it particularly suitable for industrial washing. Moreover, the material stands out for its exceptional durability, thanks to the inclusion of polyester, ensuring long-lasting durability even under particularly challenging conditions. Our Performance Suit combines functionality and style, making it the ideal choice.

We focus on durability, comfort, and performance in industrial laundering. Every material is carefully tested to ensure it meets our standards for quality, performance, and long-term use. This helps ensure that our workwear maintains its shape, color, and functionality over time. Some materials stand out because of their innovative properties, circular potential, or the way they address social and environmental conditions in textile production. These are what we call Our Choice Materials. How we choose materials Material choice plays a key role in creating workwear that performs reliably in everyday professional use. Before a material is included in our collection, it undergoes thorough testing to ensure it meets our requirements for durability, color fastness, and overall performance. Our workwear must maintain its shape, color, and functionality over time. Because many of our products are used in environments where industrial laundering is standard practice, materials must also withstand frequent washing. We therefore test selected fabrics in collaboration with professional laundries to ensure they perform reliably within regular washing procedures. Only materials that meet our requirements for quality, durability, and wash performance are used in our production. Our Choice Materials Some materials offer characteristics that make them particularly interesting in the development of future workwear. These may include innovative production methods, the use of recycled resources, or initiatives that address social and environmental conditions in textile production. We group these materials under Our Choice Materials. They represent materials that go beyond the conventional and reflect our approach to responsibility and continuous development. No material is without impact. Selecting Our Choice Materials does not automatically guarantee a lower impact for the finished product. However, careful material selection is an important step in our ongoing effort to develop workwear designed to last. The materials below are currently part of our Our Choice Materials selection. Conventional Materials In addition to Our Choice Materials, our collections also include a range of well-established textile materials. These materials are selected for their durability, comfort, and suitability for professional environments and industrial laundering.

When it comes to food safety, wearing certified clothing is not just about picking the right pants or the right jacket. It is about choosing the right combination – and that is exactly what DIN 10524 is designed to assess. At Kentaur, we often get asked whether individual garments are certified. The answer is: not on their own. According to the DIN 10524 standard, certification applies to the complete outfit – typically a top and bottom worn together – and not to individual items in isolation. How certification works The certification process is carried out by recognized institutions like Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG, which test both the outer fabric and the finished clothing combination for compliance with DIN 10524 requirements. Here is how it is done: The outer fabric is tested for hygienic properties such as cleanability, durability, and suitability for food production environments. The finished garment combination – such as pants and a coat – is assessed as a whole to ensure the design supports hygiene, minimizes contamination risks, and performs well under real working conditions. Certificates of conformity can be issued separately for the outer fabric and the ready-made garment, depending on what is tested. A full DIN 10524 risk class compliance (1, 2, and/or 3) is only ensured when both components are certified and used together as a tested combination. What this means when choosing workwear The certificate of conformity is a valuable tool when selecting workwear for food processing environments. It helps businesses ensure they are outfitting staff with garments that meet hygiene standards and pose minimal contamination risk. Because certification applies to specific clothing combinations, it is important to choose items that have been tested and approved together. Not every top goes with every bottom – so relying on certified pairings is key.
