PERSONAL DATA POLICY

  1. In general
    • This policy on the processing of personal data (Personal Data Policy) describes how Kentaur A/S (Kentaur, us, our, we) collects and processes information about you.
    • The personal data policy applies to personal information you provide us or which we gather via Kentaur’s website, kentaur.com.
    • Kentaur is the data controller for your personal information. All inquiries to Kentaur must be submitted through the contact details listed under item 7.
  2. Kentaur's collection of your personal information
    • The personal information we gather and usage
      • When you visit our website, we automatically collect information about you, e.g. what type of browser you use, what search terms you use on the website, your IP address, information about your computer and completed purchases. We do this to optimize the conversion on the website, improve it and make targeted marketing and contact you via e.g. email and newsletter.
      • When you purchase a product on our website, we gather information about you, for example name, address, email address, phone number, information on which products you purchase and possibly returns for the purpose of delivering your products and to facilitate our accounting obligations.
    • Why do we gather this information?
      • We gather information, as mentioned in item 2.1.1, in order to attend to our interests, such as constructing our website, improving its features and offering you relevant products and offers.
      • We only use your IP address to determine your geographical location if we have received your specific consent.
      • The gathering of information, as mentioned in item 2.1.2, allows us to fulfill our agreement with you.
  1. Use of data processors
    • We use external companies for, inter alia, the technical operation of the website. E.g. our suppliers assist us with targeted marketing, re-targeting and website improvement, and with your appraisals of our products. These companies are data processors subject to our instructions and process data, for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use data for any purpose other than the fulfillment of their agreements with us and they are subject to duties of confidentiality.
    • One of these data servers, Google Analytics of Google Inc., is located in the United States. The required guarantees for transferring information to the United States are safeguarded by the data processor’s certification under the EU/US Privacy Shield.   2. Your rights
    • In order to provide transparency in the processing of your information we, as data controller, must disclose your rights.
    • Right of disclosure
      • You are entitled at any time to request in writing information on, inter alia, the information we have registered about you, the purpose of the registration, the categories of personal information and the recipients of information, as well where the information originates.
      • You are entitled to receive a copy of the personal information we process about you. For extra copies, we charge a fee of DKK 50. If you want a copy of your personal information, please send a written request to hr@kentaur.com along with proof that you are the person in question.
    • Right to correction
      • You are entitled to have incorrect personal information about yourself corrected by us. If you become aware that there are errors in the information we have registered about you, you are encouraged to contact us in writing so that the information can be corrected.
    • The right to delete
      • In certain cases, you are entitled to have all or some of your personal information deleted by us. To the extent that it is necessary to process your information, e.g. to comply with our accounting obligations, we are not required to delete your personal information.
    • The right to limit the processing to archiving
      • You are, in certain cases, entitled to restrict the processing of your personal information to being solely archived, e.g. if you believe that the information we process about you is incorrect.
    • The right to data portability
      • You are entitled to have your personal information delivered in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You are also entitled to transfer this information to another data controller when we collect your personal information in connection with:

        - your purchasing of products from us, cf. 2.1.2
        - you consent to our using your IP address to determine your geographical location, cf. 2.1.1.

    • The right of objection
      • You may at any time, for specific reasons, object to our processing your personal information which we gather to enhance the features of our website and its construction.
      • You are also entitled to object to our processing your personal information for direct marketing.
      • If you object to the processing, we will no longer be entitled to process your personal information, unless we can provide legitimate reasons for continued processing.
    • The right to revoke consent
      • You are entitled at any time to revoke your consent for us to use your IP address to determine your geographical location, cf. 2.2. If you revoke your consent, please be aware that, in certain cases, we may be entitled to continue processing, cf. item 2. In which case, you will be informed.

    • The right of complaint
      • You are entitled, at any time, to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Borgersgade 28, 5, 1300 Copenhagen K, about our processing of your personal information.
  1. Deleting personal data
    • If you do not use our website for a period of 1 year, we will automatically delete the information we have registered about you in order to comply with legal requirements. This excludes requirements in Danish accounting legislation (5 years from the end of the accounting year) and consumer legislation (2-year warranty) on storing certain personal information for a long period of time.
    • If you revoke your consent, we will delete information we have gathered with your consent that we may send you marketing by post, email and SMS, unless we are entitled to continue processing in accordance with item 2.
  2. Security
    • We have implemented the appropriate technical and organizational safeguards against personal data being accidentally or illegal destroyed, lost, altered or impaired, and against misuse or unauthorized access.
    • Only employees with legitimate reasons are permitted to access your personal information to perform their work.

  1. Changes to personal data policy
    • We are entitled, at any time, to make changes to this privacy policy. If we make changes to the personal data policy, you will be informed when you next visit the website.
    • If you cannot accept the changed policy, you will no longer be able to use the website, and your personal information may be deleted.

    • Why we use cookies
      • Kentaur uses cookies to provide you the best possible experience when you visit our website. We use cookies to optimize user-friendliness, develop better features, target our content and quantify visitors’ use of the website.
    • The cookies used
      • To gather and store the information, we use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Facebook Pixel and Google Ads.
    • Personal information
      • We do not collect personal information you have not given us. You can choose to send your personal information to us online in various ways. By completing an online registration form, by participating in a competition, registering a purchase or subscribing to a newsletter. You can also share your personal information with us by contacting one of our employees by email, phone or by post. Personal information is required to execute the purchase or service for which the information is gathered.
    • What is a cookie?
      • A computer cookie is a technical term for a small text file that can contain text, numbers, a date, etc. There is no personal information stored in a cookie and it cannot contain viruses. A cookie cannot be used to gather or disclose personal information about you. Most websites automatically add a cookie to your browser the first time you visit the website.
    • How to avoid cookies?
      • Cookies delete themselves after a certain number of months (variable), but they are renewed after each visit.
      • The first time you visit our website there will be a notification at the bottom of the page where you can accept our use of cookies. If you do not wish to use cookies at all, you can disable cookies in your browser. However, please be aware that disabling cookies, may mean that you can no longer use services and features which require cookies to remember your previous choices.
