1. Purpose

This policy on the processing of personal data describes how Kentaur A/S (Kentaur, us, our, we) collects and processes information about you.

The privacy policy applies to personal information you provide us or which we gather via Kentaur’s website kentaur.com.

Kentaur is the data controller of your personal information. All inquiries to Kentaur must be submitted through the contact details listed under item 2.

3. Collecting personal information

When you visit our website, we automatically collect information about you for example what type of browser you use, what search terms you use, your IP address, information about your computer and completed purchases. We do this to optimize the conversion on the website, make improvements, targeted marketing and, if you have consented to it, contact you via email and/or newsletter.

When you purchase a product, we gather information about you such as name, address, email, phone number, information on which products you have purchased and possibly returns. All for the purpose of delivering your products and to facilitate our accounting obligations.

 

4. Partner & data processors

We use external partners for technical operation of the website, targeted marketing, re-targeting and website improvement. These companies are data processors subject to our instructions and process data, for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use data for any purpose other than the fulfillment of their agreements with us and they are subject to duties of confidentiality.

 

5. Your rights

According to data protection regulations, you have a number of rights when it comes to us processing your personal data. If you wish to exercise these rights, simply contact us via the contact details provided at the top of this policy.

 

Right of disclosure

You have the right to access the data we register and process about you, the purpose of the registration, the category of personal information, the recipients of information and where the information originates. However, the right of access may be limited to protect the personal data or trade secrets of other persons.

You are entitled to receive a copy of your personal information. For extra copies, we charge a fee of DKK 50. If you want a copy of your personal information, please send a written request to [email protected] along with proof that you are the person in question.

 

Right of correction

You have the right to rectify incorrect personal information. We encourage you to contact us as soon as you become aware of incorrect information. 

 

Right of erasure

In special cases, you have the right to have your personal data erased before the time of our normal erasure of data. If we need the information to comply with our accounting obligations, we cannot delete your personal information.

 

Right to restriction of processing

In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal information.  If you have the right to restrict processing, we may in future only process the data - with the exception of storage - with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, for the protection of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest.

 

Right to data portability

You have the right to have your personal information delivered in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. 

 

Right to object

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of your personal data. You can always object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

 

Right to revoke consent

If you have consented to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do so by contacting us via the contact details listed in section 2 above.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal data based on the consent you have previously given us until the time of withdrawal. Therefore, the withdrawal of your consent will only be effective for the future.

 

Right of complain

At any point, you have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, about our processing of your personal information.

 

6. Deletion of personal data

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for a legitimate purpose or as long as required by law. We therefore regularly delete personal data when the purposes for which it was collected no longer require processing.

This excludes requirements in Danish accounting legislation (5 years from the end of the accounting year) and consumer legislation (2-year warranty) on storing certain personal information for a long period of time.

 

7. Security

We have implemented technical and organizational safeguards against personal data being illegal destroyed, lost, altered, impaired, misused or someone gains unauthorized access.

Only employees with legitimate reasons are permitted to access your personal information to perform their work.

 

8. Changes to privacy policy

We constantly endeavour to comply with applicable legislation, including the rules and principles on the protection of personal data. We will therefore need to update and amend this privacy policy from time to time. In the event of significant changes, we will inform you via our website or by email.
