Our shared responsibility

In a world with increasing social and environmental challenges, it is essential that as a company, we not only know our obligations, but that we also act on them. Our collaboration with the production sites is based on relatively few suppliers with strong relationships. We can thereby ensure that our customers obtain proven and consistent quality and good durability for our clothing. By engaging in a close dialogue with our suppliers, we can also reassure our customers that we produce our products under responsible working conditions.

Member of the UN Global Compact
We made a strategic decision in 2011 and joined the UN Global Compact Initiative. The UN Global Compact serves as an overarching framework for our CSR activities and it ensures that we conform to the four key areas:

• Human Rights
• Workers' Rights
• Environment
• Anti-Corruption

We value transparency highly at Kentaur. That’s why we want to always be open about our observations and the ongoing improvements we wish to achieve. If our results deviate from the defined KPIs, we will reassess the situation and act on that basis. We submit annual reports to the UN Global Compact concerning our CSR activities. The report is a statement of what we wish to achieve, what we are doing and what we have achieved in the past year in terms of our defined KPIs. Thus, sustainability is integrated throughout the company.

Amfori BSCI and Kentaur’s supplier management
We fundamentally believe that our social responsibility includes not only our activities in Denmark, but to a high degree also our entire supply chain. It is important for us that our customers know that we also take responsibility when it comes to the machinists who have made our clothes. We therefore also focus on supply chain management and we participate in the amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). This is an association of more than 1,400 European companies, who share a common set of ethical rules, a Code of Conduct governing purchasing and production outside the EU.
