HAVE YOU NOTICED...

that we no longer label our products with the green "Sustainable Kentaur" symbol?

WHY THIS DECISION WHEN SUSTAINABILITY IS SO IMPORTANT?

In short, we do not want to "greenwash" our workwear.

Since 2016, when we introduced Sustainable Kentaur, significant changes have occurred regarding sustainable development. It is necessary to protect consumers from misunderstandings and misleading information. Therefore, terms like "sustainable" can only be used when products and companies are 100% sustainable, which is currently unattainable.

It is, therefore, completely unacceptable for companies to present themselves or their products as sustainable while simultaneously using conventional materials, production processes, and transportation methods.

However, the removal of the green Sustainable Kentaur symbol does not mean that we deviate from our ambitious sustainability strategy - quite the opposite. We continue to pursue a focused approach toward offering more products made from responsibly sourced materials and socially responsible production. Specifically, our goal is that 75% of our own products sold by 2025 are made of more responsible materials.

We have a team of colleagues dedicated exclusively to this topic, participating in organizations and professional groups and dealing with issues such as ESG guidelines, circular economy, and greenwashing on a daily basis.

HOW DO YOU NOW MAKE A RESPONSIBLE PRODUCT CHOICE AT KENTAUR?

It's simple! These items are now labeled as "Responsible Choice". Under this category, you will find the items that previously carried the green "Sustainable Kentaur" logo. Want to know, which materials you can find under this category? Then you can find out more here.Â
